S’Mart Community managing committee – nominations now open!
S’Mart Community managing committee – nominations now open!
It was great to see everyone at the back to school picnic – the weather played the game for us! If you’re keen to be involved in making events like this happen, fundraising, or practical jobs then why not get involved in the S’Mart Community managing committee? the current managing committee will be standing down prior to the AGM (29th March) so all positions are open! Some people will be moving on (and huge thanks for all their effort!) so some roles will remain vacant unless filled by new people!
Roles that will be vacant:
- Treasurer – keeps track of where the money goes! – especially great for those financially experienced! (this year is not a fiesta year so it’s a bit quieter!)
- Fundraising team co-leader (2) – leading the fundraising team to decide on what fundraising activities could be run, and running them! Generally 1 meeting/term, and then as events require.
- Practical jobs team co-leader (1) – working bee coordinator – working with others to organise 1 working bee per term.
- Community co-leader (1) – helping to co-ordinate community events and working with class parent reps for class/pod events. Generally 1 meeting/term.
- Committee member (up to 6) – get to see what it’s all about! and help to decide direction of fundraising and S’mart Community activities. and of course if you are keen to do any of the other positions we’d love to receive your nomination!
- Chair -co-ordinating S’mart Community events and direction
- Secretary – recording minutes of the meetings
- Practical Jobs co-leader – organising practical support for events, activities as required.
The Managing Committee aims meet 1/term Terms 1&4 and 2/term for Terms 2&3 for 1-2 hrs depending on what needs to be discussed (we try to keep it to 1 hr!).
